The next event, 'No Petticoats Here', is a show presented by Louise Jordan on the lives and experiences of women during World War One recounted in song. This has been organised in conjunction with the Village Hall. The Archive will be providing their usual scrummy refreshments at an additional cost. A double booking means this event will take place at the Methodist Chapel, on Thursday 17th November at 7:30. Tickets are £8 and will be on sale soon.

November is a busy month with another presentation taking place - on Wednesday 23rd November, 7:30 at the Village Hall. The talk will be on the 'Inns, Pubs and Beerhouses of Stillington and Marton' - there were lots of them! We will be joined by John Lewis and Jane Blackman from the Treboom Brewery, located just down the road at Shipton by Beningbrough, who will be showing, (and hopefully allowing us a taste of), their award winning beers. Usual entry fee - non members £3, members free.
