Alton Family History On Mar 23 1883 William Alton, his wife Annis (Matson), Daughter Annie Elizabeth (My Grandmother), sons George, Arthur, Charles and Cecil arrived in Halifax Canada on the vessel Nova Scotia having sailed from Liverpool. The family came to Grey County in Ontario and after a short while settled in the Markdale area. It would be interesting to see if someone could research where the farm was in/near Stillington.
