Government Report

The children have passed a fair examination in Reading & Spelling. Writing is good in the first standard, but that of the other standards is, on the whole, rather poor. The results of the examination in arithmetic are unsatisfactory, and the infants are backward in reading. Needlework is carefully taught and the exercises are well done. Improvement in the elementary subjects, especially in arithmetic, will be expected next year or it will be necessary to recommend the formal warning under Article 86. More desk accommodation is desirable. The registers should be tested by the Managers at least once a quarter at irregular intervals.”
H.M. Inspectors reports that a formal warning under article 86 may become necessary unless improvement in elementary instruction takes place.
E Walker is continued under article 68.'
